My latest GTV project had unfortunately been involved in a front end crash which had forced the bonnet back ripping out the bonnet ‘s lower gas strut mounting point. I am guessing that there will be other owners in a similar situation as the thickness of the bodywork in that area is not very thick.
The patch comes bent up ready for fitting. simply remove the existing captive nut (if it is still in place!), place the patch in the position, carefully weld, grind down the weld if necessary, then it is simply a bit of filler and paint and she is back working as she should be .
